Family planning
All doctors provide contraceptive advice. The Sexual Health Clinic at the Gilbert Bain Hospital runs every Monday evening, 1830 – 2030. Contraceptive advice is also available here. For a general discussion, no appointment is required. To make an appointment (required if for removal of Implanon or insertion of Mirena coil), phone 01595 743 000 during clinic times and ask for the Sexual Health Clinic.

Maternity Care
When you discover you are pregnant you should contact the Maternity Department at the Gilbert Bain Hospital. The midwives are available on 01595 743012.
Should you wish to discuss your pregnancy with a GP, please make an appointment through Reception.

Travel vaccinations are now being offered through NHS Shetland.
